ON THE ISSUES
FISCAL
RESPONSIBILITY
Idaho has historically done well in trying times because, as a state, we are financially responsible and balance the budget. This policy contributes to Idaho’s rapid growth and is necessary to protect our state’s booming economy. I will vigorously defend this responsibility and ensure the efficient use of the hard-earned tax dollars you entrust in Idaho.
GOVERNMENT
OVERREACH
The best decisions in government are made at the local level. Local governments know their community needs and the best way to achieve their goals. Emphasis on local governance is the easiest way citizens can voice their opinions and actively participate in their government. Therefore, I strongly feel that federal and state governments should be limited to the provisions in their constitutions and that government should be executed locally.
EDUCATION
After eight years on the local school board, it’s frustrating seeing the federal and state governments’ strings on the funds they give to school districts.
I support strong, local community involvement in education to foster Idaho’s students’ necessary growth and development to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
